We really do need to learn to recognize the truth of who we already are and what we already have, and to appreciate it. :)Joel B.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10395847887953875757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139676684011582364.post-77741741644984784572008-06-10T09:15:00.000-04:002008-06-10T09:15:00.000-04:00Thanks Amy, glad you were blessed by this!!!Hey Jo...Thanks Amy, glad you were blessed by this!!!

Hey Joel, I always love your mini "sermon" comments, so much good stuff. It is exciting to truly know my Jesus, my Saviour more and more - He is so wonderful!

Here's a little quote I found that I thought went well with this post;

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have." ~ Frederick Keoniglydiahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01495924200222561417noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139676684011582364.post-13610999790057656972008-06-10T08:22:00.000-04:002008-06-10T08:22:00.000-04:00Beautiful post indeed! How exciting!

I can still very much relate to all of this, even 16 1/2 years into my walk with Jesus. Sometimes the lessons are learned quickly and the revelations take hold quickly, but many more times it seems He simply remains faithful at working in my heart and mind, and circumstances and dreams and all kinds of other ways, over a long period of time. And that's ok. Even when I seem so dull-minded, ignorant and unfaithful, He never leaves nor forsakes and He remains faithful and true.

Restoration, reconciliation, love, life, etc, are His business, so to speak. His constant, steady faithfulness to us is what makes all of that happen. He is always at work in us "to will and to do for His good pleasure." I love the imagery of the shepherd and the sheep you've reminded us of here. We truly do have a tender shepherd, not harsh, but gentle and patient.Joel B.http://www.blogger.com/profile/10395847887953875757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-139676684011582364.post-34429557931604769632008-06-09T19:10:00.000-04:002008-06-09T19:10:00.000-04:00This was no random thought process Lyd- it was bea...This was no random thought process Lyd- it was beautiful!
