Declare of yourself, what God says about you......

Well, again last night Bobby Connor was leading the revival meeting. I really enjoy listening to him. He preached about "Decree a thing and it will come to pass!"
He talked about and emphasized the importance of declaring of yourself what God says about you!!! Even if you don't "feel" like it! This teaching really resonated with me. I am learning the power of our words over our life matter so much. Also, one of the things Rob Rufus has been stressing endlessly is how we need to stand up and declare "I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, IN CHRIST JESUS!"  Especially, right after we have just sinned a big ole' sin.  This is how God sees us no matter what. The enemy does not want us to get a hold of this, and be confident and bold in who we are in Christ. But we must not believe his lies or let our negative emotions or guilt grab hold in any way. And especially to not speak negativity, period!!

I recently heard an amazing testimony from a lady at the Healing Rooms meeting I just attended. There was a woman whose son had autism. He would repeat over and over his name and bang his head against the wall. That was about the extent of his verbal skills. So the mom taught him to say, "I love Jesus."  He would say this wherever they went. She began to declare things over him and prophecy wholeness over him. She continued to do this for years, all the while he was in a special school for autistic people. One day she brought him home from the school, and the son for the first time just blurted out the most clear concise intelligible sentence out of the blue!! No more repetitive words, he began to operate and function normally after that!! Isn't that amazing! He was totally free from his autism. Her faithfulness and believing God at His word and trusting in the finished work of the cross, brought her son into His true identity and wholeness in Christ! I just love it!
That shared, I just want to include some of the Scriptures that Bobby mentioned last night.

Joel 3:10 - ...."let the weak say, I am strong, a WARRIOR!"

Job 22:28 - "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light of God's favor shall shine upon your ways."

Mark 11: 21-24 - " And Peter remembered and said to Him, Master, look! The fig tree which you doomed has withered away! And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart, but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].

Jeremiah 1:9 - "Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, And the Lord said to me, Behold, I have put my words in your mouth."

Proverbs 25:11 - "A word fitly spoke and in due season is like apples of gold in settings of silver."

2 Samuel 23:2 - "The Spirit of the Lord spoke in and by me, and His word was upon my tongue."

It's time to start assigning victory to our lives, our families, our children, our marriages, our work, our finances, our cities, our nations.

Lydia Joy,
I can't believe your post yesterday. I've never heard anyone but me quote The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy.
well not quite like that...I could so easily have said that to you about something...
=========================
There are many Kingdom "portals". Star Wars eat your heart out! We have not really talked much on Dan's site about confessing the Word.Making the Word our own, by sitting on it!!!Meditating on it. Saying it. My Ghanaian friend Michael , as do many Africans, makes this one of his primary heavenly portals. We published a book together called "Claiming the Promises." Sometimes I get irritated with him, because it seems like a Dalek response to everything....but I have to agree that when you hear him preach...well, there are few like him at the age he is, who make the Word tear your insides out when he talks. He lives at the moment in Watford...and has had the joy this year of being offered free air time on Voice of Africa FM London.

As your testimony above shows. The Word seems to grow and grow within us until one day it is too big for our bodies and pops out into 3D form, like the lady and her son. And that is how I felt yesterday at our church. For years we've prayed, confessed prophesied....but yesterday actually felt like a real church!!
None of this 2 dimensional 2nd level dreamworld...this actually felt like a real church functioning.

That's awesome Chris!! There is life and death in the tongue, that's power! God spoke the word and it was so!! He gives us that same creative power! Our words matter, our declarations standing up to the truth of God's word are huge in the Kingdom! We can speak and send devils fleeing, we can speak and send sickness away! We can empower others with our testimonies of God's grace, glory and triumph in our lives! It's one way of partnering and co-laboring with God! Isn't that great!! Or as you call it, a Kingdom portal, I like that!!
Where can I find your book? I am intrigued!!

Thanks for this Chris, this was great! I love the idea of your book. Many Christians, myself included, do not even know the promises of God, let alone to stand on them and confess them. I just received a little booklet from the Healing Room I went to, called "How to receive God's promises" - I am looking forward to reading it and learning how to stand on God's word and His awesome promises.
I really appreciated how you explained the difference between conditional and unconditional promises, that was hugely helpful!!!
Much grace and peace to you!!!

Lydia,
This is Michael Hammond's Book.

I just helped him publish it.
Your comments are really encouraging. I gave Michael the link to your site....perhaps he will write something

Lydia, the above section was quite a bit bigger. I wrote for 45 mins or so, but it got swiped. i must always remember to save it to desktop until i know it is on your site.
The gist anyway turned out to be a good part of what was on God TV last night preached by Ryan Watts. I was writing about how God is simultaneously bringing all teaching strands together in this next level we're coming into. In fact much of the Satellite preachers teachings of the 80s onwards, seemed a little off the wall and weird to most of the Body of Christ , and actually only begin to take on their full beauty and scale when in the context of all the other (what I call) 3rd level stuff. For example "Name it and Claim it" is positively Aladdin and the Lamp outside the context of Christ Living His Life as Me. And actually that is precisely what God was getting through to Jacob about when He met him at Peniel. Jacob had been a name it and claim it specled and striped sheep producer.
As I said last night on Dan's site, if my identity was as a teacher, afetr Ryan's preach I would now be positively depressed as he covered most of the stuff I would ever want to say.

Oh bummer I hate when that happens!! I do that all the time!
I haven't heard much about the "Name it and Claim It" stuff until this past year, I suppose it left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, but I have to say at the core of it there is truth, the Bible does say, "Decree a thing and it shall be established for you...."
I am sure people can use this in a wrong motive, but that's true with everything, and I guess people may dismiss some really good stuff out of fear of not wanting to be accused of believing in "Name it and Claim it".
Anyway, I am not sure I totally follow your meaning when you say, "For example "Name it and Claim it" is positively Aladdin and the Lamp outside the context of Christ Living His Life as Me. " ...can you expound? Thanks!!

It was indeed a blessing to me to read through both the teaching and the comments about standing on God's promises, along with the testimony. Furthermore,i was/am grateful for Chris kind gesture and promptness to forward part copies of my book'claiming the promises' at Lydia's request which may bless others as well.

Looking at the hour we live in,I think the spirit of the Lord through His servants are encouraging the Saints to hold on to the Word of God which is unshakable and will remains so forever. Not only should we apply it to our lives, but claim the promises involved for our survival here until we go 'home'.

We thank God for His servants whom He used to bring this enlightenment to the body of Christ( some like Late Rev. Kenneth Hagin and many others still alive) and must be grateful to the Lord for showing us the keys or weapons that we can rely on and use them to defeat the Devil during each encounter.

I will only digress briefly on this subject in conclusion,to support what have been published and made available.

Among the spiritual weapons given to us in Ehpesians 6:10-17 is '...and the Word of God as the sword which the spirit gives you'.
No wonder in Hebrews 4:12 the scripture states ( in part)' the Word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through.........' This means that the Word of God when taken, which acording to Joshua 1:8 means when meditated on ( and includes speaking) can be effective in all areas which cannot be reached by any human means. No wonder, Joel Osteen's mother confessed the word daily and had her cancer healed.

God has given us the keys and we must throug obedience use them to see victory and breakthrough in every area. It is our only hope in the times ahead and confessed, and applied( conditional and or unconditional as explained.

Thanks for your thoughts Michael and for stopping by. I am so grateful to God for His word, and His amazing promises that we can stand on! Your book will be a valuable resource to the church world wide. I can' t wait to read the whole thing!
God has given us so many powerful weapons to use, it's time to start using them, 'eh!!!
Thanks again, much much grace to you!!!

I'll answer you in two ways. Firstly if you ever have the joy of praying or being in a meeting with Michael Hammond...and he is available. (He came to Havant for the conference, and on his way down from the station,,,some 400 yds, he was used by the Lord to lead 3 people to the Lord...people he was asking directions from)He will always focus first on the Lord, then when there is a sense of breakthrough, he will begin being open to move in prayer, or declaring the promises of scripture....So here again, the claiming of scripture is done in the context of the Presence of the Lord. " The Aladdin way of doing things is like a religious ritual. A saying of the scriptures, but no real heart involvement, no concern for the Living Presence of Christ.
The second related answer also dovetails in with my posting concerning Genesis 3:5 on Dan's latest post. And this is awesome. Once we are experienced in only doing what Christ is doing through us...and our early practice sessions are in charismatic meetings....then later we get better at living this way full-time,( the Bible calls this "having our senses trained in righteousness" ) then we become absolutely clear that any time we move in faith, it is not us operating faith....and Jacob was confused on this until God met him and changed his name....no, it is Christ operating His faith and His timing through us. So there is absolutely no room for pride. Jesus described this way of living in several ways. One image is as a branch on the Vine which is Him. Any fruit is Him coming through. Another image was as a servant who, after accomplishing something amazing, just says "I'm just an unprofitable servant. I'm just doing what I was commanded." But early on in the anointing we get confused because we still view ourselves seperately. All this is explained in "Alphabet Soup" which I encouraged Shawna to get.
