Lakeland last night.......

Last night I decided to check out the revival.  It was so worth it to me. I was so blessed in many ways. The worship leader was a young spunky woman, I don't know who she was or her name.  She was running all over the stage, I don't think she stood still once. Now some people may be critical if they had seen this, but I was excited. I used to be a party girl. I went to dance clubs every weekend and sometimes on weeknights for 4-5 years. I loved, loved, loved dancing, still do!! Anyway, I was thinking about how the crowd was wild, jumping and cheering and they were encouraging them to do this! I thought, you know what some people might think this is weird or even wrong, and I am sure there are very religious cynical people out there huffing and puffing about how disrespectful their behaviour is (that is if they can even stand watching it for more than a minute). But, the thing is we all go to concerts, football, baseball, our kids sports games and go wild screaming and cheering and acting a bit silly. So, why is it that that is exceptable, but going wild for our God and King is not!! What is that?! Why is God not worthy of the same exuberance and ultimately "praise". The bible says, David danced before the Lord with all his might! Come on, if we can cheer like wild people at anything, we can certainly do it for the High King of Heaven!!! Okay, so my little rant about that is over.....!!
Now I really want to highlight the man who ministered last night. I just became aware of him this past week and went and checked out his ministry website, Eagle's View Ministry and even linked his site on the right hand side of my blog. Bobby Connor, spoke and then led the healing ministry and he was amazing. I enjoyed his teaching greatly, and I don't think I have ever heard anyone preach and quote so much Scripture from memory. I was so blessed I wanted to find out how I could listen to it again. So here's the link  for last night if anyone is remotely interested in listening to it, just click on July 22.  I really want to go back and listen to it and write down as many of the Scriptures that he quoted as possible. Check it out!!!
"Our past is just our past, we have passed through." ~Bob Jones. Enjoy his new mercies today!!

Thanks for your thoughts on this Angel. Glad you liked the video.
Actually, from what I understand the Catholic church went through a renewal not long ago, maybe a decade or more. And I happen to know some amazing charismatic Catholics, that LOVE Jesus! It's just like Messianic Jews......anyway, it's not the people, but the religion that takes people away from Jesus, laws, rules, regulations, traditions of man, etc.......

Thanks for your prayers!! Many blessings to you and your family!!!

I had a big client project due today, and had to work late last night w/o Lakeland! Judging by your description though, I think you were watching Katherine Mullins lead worship. She's the perky Energizer Bunny that really delighted everyone a month or two ago, when she first led worship.

I remember at one point that firs night, she was on her back, doing rapid bicycle reps with her legs, while still singing to Jesus! Just an amazing amount of energy and Spirit-given enthusiasm for the Lord....

Yup you were right, it's Catherine Mullins - sorry you had to miss it last night.....apparently she will be on again tonight!!

Angel,
I actually enjoyed my party days in a lot of ways, it was freeing, it ultimately left me empty in the end, but I got a taste of freedom from religion and began to find out who I was a little......I never regret going dancing.....I loved it!! I think I'd rather be in a club with drunk people sometimes, than with uptight religious people in church that are bored to tears!!!

Oops, did I say that out loud.....!!! :)

Don,
It was also interesting last night that Cal Pierce, from the Healing Rooms was there, and they prayed for him and everyone there that worked in a Healing Room!!!

Hi Lydia,
That was great what everyone was sharing about last night.

Ed Miller and Jorge Pradas both used to talk about praise and worship in kind of an ellipse...like this

You enter the courts of the Lord from cold...by obeying the command to come into His courts with praise.
After a while you become aware of God's Presence.....next there may be a time of seeking the Lord, or waiting before Him as a Body. There may be different manifestations of gifts or revelation...But then, it's like it is time to rise. The Holy Spirit has come and brought cleansing, or deep inward ministry and you feel so free, and so clean and so natural in the Presence of the Lord. This praise is amazing. It's like you have got your life back...the life that is hidden with Christ in God. You then move spontaneously from your New Life within....so it can never be about drawing attention to yourself. Sometimes the praise is so awesome you don't know where you're getting the energy from...it's like a taste of supernatural life. Sometimes the musicians take off. Sometimes the men dance with a vigour like you have never seen...a church of King Davids. It is just so important that people take the lid off worship in these days...and trust that the Holy Spirit is well able to keep the thing from going offcourse. This is why He has gifted the Church with true discernment gifts....not the "unholy gift of suspicion" that many believers enter into. We can trust this Divine Life He has given us. It breaks me up that there are so many sisters out there who used to enjoy a good bop, now settled in amongst the frozen chosen. Come on girls...make the religios angry and dance for Jesus!!!

"We can trust this Divine Life He has given us." - Amen!!

I just need to clarify, as I joke about religious people, I used to get caught up in religion myself, and I am not against any people, but against the "traditions of man" -just as God is!!! It is clear in Scripture that God is not interested in our religious ideas, but in genuine relationship with His people, His children!!!
