Do you ever just wake up elated, happy as a kid on Christmas morning and are just bursting with joy for life, for the new day and to know that you are a child of God and so loved you can't even fathom how deep,wide, high is the reality of His Love for you????!!!!!!!
This is what waking up to mercies daily is to me. This feeling I feel today and often is what fresh mercy feels like. It's just bursting from inside of me! Like a river breaking through a dam!!
I am not always aware of this intense joy, but today I became aware that God's mercies are certainly amazing enough to at least feel like jumping and shouting for joy!! I mean think about it, every single day, we get to wake up to a fresh start, new mercies, fresh grace!! If our past is just that, our past, we can go from glory to glory each day because of His fresh mercy! He wants us to always sense our life being redeemed!! Isn't that wonderful!! The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies NEVER come to an end, they are NEW EVERY morning, NEW EVERY morning, GREAT is HIS FAITHFULNESS!
This is not just a song we sing on Sundays! This is an amazing truth and reality that we get to live in!! Today, it just came into my spirit in a much richer and deeper way than ever before, and I feel so ALIVE!! That's because HIS WORD is ALIVE! It's living and active!!! We should come to these points when we burst out, shout, dance for joy - because we have an amazing God, an amazing inheritance, an amazing reality! Isn't He so good!
I hope to encourage, inspire and invigorate all who read here in the fresh mercies of the Lord for each new day!! Revel in this amazing truth with me today!!

I love the times when a church just feels electric. And when stuff like this post is just busting out of folk, songs that maybe have had a rote type feel, suddenly take on a great roar of praise.
One of my favorite roars of all time...at least so far...is the 5000 denominational and housegroup leaders...may be for the first time becoming totally unreligious as they bawl, roar, generally freak out on the Ern Baxter "Thy Kingdom Come Tape" describing Jesus going back up to heaven to receive His New position as a Man in heaven being given The Name above every Name and Genesis 24. This sounds amazing over a stereo turned up.
Sometimes the "old" hymns become very precious when we realize that the writer had experienced a new revelation of God, just like we do, and you think...wow, maybe they did get it. :)
God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever; it's just our perception that changes as our minds are renewed through the gospel of the goodness of His Grace in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit is a marvelous teacher, isn't He?
This is just so awesome to me, I have always loved this truth about His new mercies for each day, but the way it hit me Sunday was another dimension altogether, and I just love how the Holy Spirit leads me into deeper revelation and truth........I also love that after a whole year the joy filled revelations keep coming, and that there is always MORE in HIM. More to learn, more to rejoice in, more to revel in and more of HIm loving me!!!
